Basic Life Support (BLS)

BLS Initial Provider

Fee:  $51 (Does not Include student workbook).

 

Time:  Approximately 3.5 hours.

 

Certification Period:  2 years

Testing:  Skills testing and open resource written test required.

 

For initial class or expired certification.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS class is for both pre-hospital and in-facility health care environments. The BLS course teaches participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.  This training includes single and team CPR.  During this in-person instructor led course, students will be assessed and tested on BLS skills and open resource written test required with a passing score of 84%.  Upon successful completion of course, student will received an AHA BLS Certification.

There are no pre-course requirements.  

 

Intended for in-facility and prehospital healthcare providers including nurses, physicians, EMT’s, and professional rescuers.

BLS Renewal Class

Fee:  $46 (Does not Include student workbook).

 

Time:  Approximately 2.5 hours.

 

Certification Period:  2 years

Testing:  Skills  testing and open resource written test required.

For students with a CURRENT AHA BLS certification. Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be emailed to Info@IdahoCPRplus a minimum of 24 hours prior to start of class.  If certification is expired, then student will need to take an initial provider or Heartcode class.

Heartcode BLS Hands-on Session

Fee:  $27 

 

Time:  Approximately ½ hour per student.

 

Certification Period:  2 years.

 

Testing:  Skills test required.  No written test during skills lab.

For initial class or expired certification.

For those students who have already completed the online Heartcode BLS Provider (blended) portion and only need the mandatory hands-on session (skills portion) of the course. Online certificate of completion must be emailed to info@idahoCPRplus.com within 24 hours prior to start of class. 

 

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the training in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. The following link will direct you to the AHA website where you can take the online (classroom) portion of this class and receive your certificate of completion. The online portion is on your own with direct payment to the AHA.
