IDAHO CPR+ CLASSES

Emergency Medical Technician

The EMT program prepares and teaches students basic knowledge and skills of emergency care and response to assist someone who has been injured

or is experiencing a medical emergency.  After successful completion of the course, the EMT will

be able to use critical thinking, problem-solving,

and decision making to respond to and assist someone in need and provide safe transport to

a medical facility.  The EMT works as an integral

part of the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) community and is a link from the scene to

more advanced medical care.

Basic Life Support

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS classes (CPR for healthcare providers) teach participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.  Intended for in-facility and prehospital healthcare providers including nurses, physicians, EMT’s, and professional rescuers.

Advanced Cardiac
Life Support

This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).  Taught by highly skilled instructors who care about expanding your knowledge and improving your ACLS skills. Intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and healthcare providers that need ACLS for their clinical duties.

Pediatric Advanced
Life Support

Our AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes are led by highly experienced instructors who have years of service in the management, care, and treatment of pediatric medical and traumatic emergencies.  These classes reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, and effective resuscitation and team dynamics. Intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, and anyone who directs or assists in the care and management of pediatric life threatening respiratory and cardiovascular emergency care.

Instructor Course

Our AHA Training Center Faculty will help guide you through the steps of becoming and American Heart Association Instructor.  For the classroom portion, you will learn how to conduct your own high quality AHA class using video, hands-on practice and review of AHA course materials and supplies.  You will later be monitored teaching your first class to complete your AHA Instructor Certification.  These classes are intended for individuals who have the opportunity to teach classes on a regular basis to their workplace or community groups.

CPR/AED
& First aid

Knowing high quality CPR/AED and First Aid saves lives! Master your lifesaving skills and build your confidence so you can provide assistance to someone in need until Emergency Medical Services arrive. These classes are a great choice for both the community and workplace setting. Intended for teachers, parents, response teams in business and industry, group leaders, community groups and anyone who wants to “know what to do” in and emergency!

Phlebotomy
Technician

A Phlebotomy Technician is a critical part of the medical team. Our 8-week phlebotomy technician program will give students the professional abilities, knowledge and skills needed to work as a competent phlebotomist.

Under the guidance of our expert instructors, students receive hands-on training in multiple blood collection techniques, giving them the confidence to begin their new career!
